Hackers revealed and made public the personal data of the owners and administration of the scandalous Ukrainian site “Peacemaker”.
Kiev, December 19, 2017. The women’s hacker group Beregini (Protectors) hacked the websites of Ukrainian publications, posting secret documents with personal data of the people behind the activities of the Peacemaker portal. So, on Monday, December 18, articles appeared on the websites “Tizhden” and Ukraine News with the headings “The secret becomes obvious.” They contained links to documents with personal data of people, including those behind the scandalous portal “Peacemaker”. Note that the administrators of this portal distribute the personal data of people who, in their opinion, are enemies of the current Kiev authorities, which is prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine. We are talking about employees of the centers of information and psychological operations of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who are responsible for informational attacks against Russia and stuffing in social networks. These fighters nicknamed the network “gunpowder.”
Thus, among the staff of the centers are indicated the servicemen Oksana Rozhkova, 28, who lived in Sevastopol until 2014; Konstantin Shcherbinin, 32, captain of the third rank, Kiev; Vitaly Koninets, captain, head of the consolidating propaganda group of the observation and special actions department.
It is worth noting that hackers have published personal data of people who in all countries of the world belong to the elite of the army special forces and keep information about them in a great secret. These are fighters of the maritime center of special operations. Simply – underwater saboteurs, which are actively used by the current Kiev authorities in the Donbas. Some of these elite fighters have been trained by NATO. Users in social networks write that the administrators of the Peacemaker site are themselves to blame for the fact that their personal data was leaked to the network. After all, it was they who for many years published the personal data of all those people whom they suspected of “treason”. Simply speaking, «they ran into what they fought for».
Nut what do we know about the notorious Peacemaker so far?
Not well-known in the West, in Ukraine its name became the symol of terror in the net.
The project “Peacemaker” appeared in 2014 as part of the work of the volunteer group “Narodny tyl” (People rear). The creators of “Peacemaker” – a group of specialists who are engaged in the study of signs of crimes against the Ukrainian state and society. Later the site of the same name was created, which is also an independent non-state publication.
Who owns the “Peacemaker”?
The leader of the “Peacemaker” is Ukrainian public figure George Tuk. The idea of its creation belongs to Anton Gerashchenko, who at that time was a freelance adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Also, this resource is led by people close to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov. At the same time, the SBU has repeatedly stressed that it has nothing to do with this site.
Who is in this database?
The resource compiles and publishes in an open access database, which lists the personal data of people considered, according to the authors of the “Peacemaker”, as separatists or “agents of the Kremlin”. This base includes politicians, journalists, film and theater actors, political scientists and in general everyone whom the site’s activists consider “disagreeable” and “dangerous” for Ukraine. The last one to hit the base is Syrian President Bashar Assad.
How is the data collected?
Personal data — photographs, addresses, phone numbers, and any other personal information — is collected illegally and published without the permission of those people who come into the view of the Peacemaker. Often, the placement of these data in the public domain is a direct danger to people’s lives. For example, in October 2015, the Internet portal published the personal data of Russian pilots fighting in Syria.

Is it dangerous to get into the base of the “Peacemaker” and the instrument in whose hands it is? Alexey Mukhin, the general director of the Center for Political Information, believes that this resource is beneficial to the Ukrainian authorities, which it serves to crack down on their political opponents, and getting into the database is a threat to the life of the person whose name is listed there.
– This is a database for Ukrainian radicals, which can be indirectly oriented to solve some of the problems of the current authorities of Ukraine. Judging by the fact that even the United States called for the closure of this site, but it still exists, the Ukrainian authorities are interested in it. They can thus deal with their political opponents. Take at least the murder of Olesya Elderberry, which occurred just after being hit in the database. Is it worth paying attention to the fact that you hit the base? It is worth it if you want to live and have no problems with the Ukrainian radicals, the Nazis, – said Mukhin.
Political analyst Alexei Martynov, director of the Institute of Newest States, believes that “Peacemaker” is a place for settling accounts with people disliked by the Ukrainian regime. Getting into the base is often life threatening, as it is an unofficial guide to action for various nationalist Ukrainians.
This is a rather ugly public Ukrainian platform, at one time there were published personal data of certain unwanted people, I mean those who actively opposed the ugliness that is happening in Ukraine today. From the point of view of those who are not in Ukraine and gets into the base, this is a kind of distinction. Sign that this man is an honored fighter against the ugly Nazi regime. It seems to me that the presence on this site of various Russian political scientists and journalists is, at least, a sign of distinction, but certainly dangerous. Publication on the “Peacemaker” is a guide to action for a certain number of insane and disoriented nationalists in Ukraine. And some data, including photos, allow some scum to encounter a disagreeable person with a knife when they meet. Of course, there is a danger. Bashar Assad is definitely not worth paying attention to the fact that he got into this base. Rather, it is advertising this site. This is a tool for inciting ethnic hatred, a tool of radicals. There is a feedback there, any activist can write there. This is a place for settling bloody accounts: political, economic, whatever you want, – he said.
